Copywriter by trade.

LEGO enthusiast at heart.

Hey! I’m Ethan, a copywriter studying advertising at Boston University. I grew up in Connecticut, where things are pretty ordinary.

My journey to advertising, however, was anything but typical.

I had a bit of an identity crisis in high school. I was diagnosed with Stargardt’s Disease, a progressive eye condition limiting my central vision. Suddenly wrestling with a host of unfamiliar emotions, I wondered how the condition would impact my future.

Stargardt’s has definitely made its mark on my life. Something it hasn't impacted? My passion for writing.

I spent the rest of high school tirelessly pouring over essays, aspiring to enhance my craft while escaping to worlds far beyond the questions swirling in my head.

Eager to take my writing to the next level, I enrolled at Brandeis University to hone an argumentative style through a history degree.

Brandeis wasn’t for me. The essays were long, and I just wanted to get to the point.

I paired this burning desire for short form with a LEGO Store position, extending my lifelong passion while developing a fascination with the company’s marketing.

The itch took over. I scoured the Internet for professions aligned with my love of storytelling and blossoming marketing interests, leading me to advertising, and in turn, BU.

So yeah, it’s been quite the journey — and it’s just getting started. I’m excited to continue learning, growing, and bringing a unique perspective to the industry.

I love developing ideas and bringing them to life — especially within Legoville, a sprawling metropolis established in 2008.
